WEEK 2
Many of us have discovered that selecting a person to disciple is harder than we expected.
Why?
Often it's because we're making the challenge bigger and more complicated than it needs to be.
Some people are searching for the perfect person.
Others are thinking only about unbelievers.
Some are worried they don't know enough Bible to help someone.
Others aren't sure how to invite someone into a disciple-making relationship.
Let's simplify things.
The goal of this challenge is not to become a spiritual expert. The goal is to help one person take their next step toward Jesus.
That person might be:
Your son or daughter
Your spouse
A friend at church
A new believer
Someone who is struggling spiritually
Someone who wants to grow in their faith
Someone who would benefit from encouragement and accountability
Remember: disciple-making is not having all the answers. Disciple-making is making it your personal goal to help someone follow Jesus.
This week, don't worry about the entire challenge.
Just focus on one thing:
Choose one person and schedule one conversation.
